7 core black cable between the 2 trailer plugs. 12 core cable not required with this set up. Colours as show below.
- Yellow – blinker left
- Red – brake
- Blue – service brakes
- White – ground
- Black – reverse lights
- Brown – parker lights and side markers
- Green – Blinker right
The 12 pin plug serves the purpose of plug matching on one end of the lead only to your existing 12 pin plug on the back of the vehicle for a snug fit.
The 4 Auxiliary pins are not connected electrically and don’t need to be.
The 7 remaining pins are connected electrically to the 7 pin flat plug that goes into your trailers 7 pin plug and the lead will function as is required. This is what’s required for the lead to work as a 12 pin to 7 pin adaptor.
